What's going on in classes...

Cross-stitch is November 19th. Teenagers 12 and up may register for classes. This is a beginners class and the project would make a nice Christmas gift. Call to register.

Crochet is still on Tuesday evenings, with Glenda Jaccard.

Knitting with Lee Reiff, beginners and those ready to move on. Some ladies have started a potato chip scarf and it is lovely. But if you want to do the dish cloth, that is fine too.

Also the Cricut classes for beginners and advanced. Monday 8th. and 15th.

We still have space in the 4 card Poppy Patch class. See the photo at bottom of post. I have a couple COPIC "experts" coming to the class, so a little nervous now. Come watch me shake...

Only a couple spots left in Anita's class with Prisma Pencils and Mica paints. Call to register.

What classes would you like to see added to our calendar?
Let us know.

Cricut classes , beginning and advanced....

We have one more beginning class to offer for the Cricut machine. Then we'll have an advanced class for people going to the next level of Cricut design.
Paulette Bretz will be here again on November 8th. at 5:30pm for beginners. Then on November 15th. she will do an advanced class. Registration is required and the cost is $12.00 for each class.
If you want to do both classes, you can pre-pay for both and get a price reduction. Both classes for $20.00 a person. Register now and don't miss out.

Castle High School Choir Crop, this Saturday, 30th.

The Castle Choir Crop is this Saturday, 30th. There is still space. We have gotten in some nice items for high school albums and also made some specific page titles for the event.
It is at Castle High School and will benefit all the Choirs. We have lots of sports, cheerleading, band and musical themes to choose from, even yoga! There will be Make & Takes by some vendors and lots of food.
Hope to see you there.
Our studio will be closed Saturday, so we may attend.

Peanut Brittle from Ohio

Some of you know how good my mom's peanut brittle is and some have never had the pleasure, (you are missing out for sure if you haven't had it).
We have some in and it is the best ever. So if you are a peanut brittle person, come get a bag before it's gone. See how pretty I packaged it! More will be in for Christmas , and it makes a delicious gift.

New Flourishes

We had a new shipment of Flourishes stamps come in, Fall and Christmas ones. 3 are new releases .
I should have ordered more Apple Of My Eye, for the class on November 5th., as they are almost gone again. We only have a couple spaces left in that class too, so hurry to register.

Halloween card idea

If you are still looking for a cute idea for a Halloween card, try this one. For this we used the web mask by Tim Holz, (an older one), and a Sizzix die cut called "Sweet". We have some of those die cuts in our retail and will have one as door prize at tomorrow's Dessert & Crop, from 1-6pm. If you pre-registered you may win.

This is the Tuesday Take Away this coming week.
Just a reminder that although we put them out on Tuesday each week, we also leave them out to do all week long.
If it gets too busy in the studio, we may change that policy, but for now, you can make it all week long. Cost is $2.00
We used Fancy Pants, Indian Summer paper. It is really rich fall colors.
I also "cheated" and used a Gina K stamp, as I wanted some "stitching" on the card and needed it to be a certain color. Many people don't like to use the sewing machine on cards, so faux stitching is best.
We do have some stitching rub ons, but the white and black did not work here. Good to keep in mind for people who are "afraid" of sewing on cards.

4 card class November 8th.

We have a 4 card Poppy Patch card class, on November 8th. Yes we are normally closed Monday, but we will open , during those hours of class only. Pre-registration required.
9:00am Cost is $15.00 We will be using the Poppy Patch stamp from Flourishes.

Tuesday Take Away..

This is the M&T this week. It is a Flourish stamp set of wreaths for all seasons. But we are going into the Fall, so I went with that one.
I am not very good with COPIC markers, but that is what we used for coloring in. No, we don't carry them yet, but maybe in the new year. Cost is $3.00

High School items just arrived.....

Band, Volleyball, Baseball, Basketball, Wrestling,
Prom, Homecoming, Drama, Soccer, Football-just to name some of the items we have.

High School items just arrived.....

We just received a large order of all high school supplies for scrapbooking. Sports, music, cheerleading and even yoga stickers.
I have some close ups of the albums and die cuts to help you see what we have. But to get a really good idea of them all, you need to come check them out.
We are getting ready for the ChoirShow Crop at Castle High School on October 30th. and decided to get some school items in. Usually things are geared more for elementary, but this is for high school. If you see something you want and we run out, we can get it in again, but we need to know. Take a look at some of the albums and check out the price of the 12x12 football and soccer specialty albums too.

Late Create this Friday

Late Create night is for any crafter. If you pre-register to attend, (which is very helpful to us), then you may win a prize. Pre-registered people can enter to win a door prize. It's $5.00 for evening, which includes pizza and drink.
We have a nice selection of Halloween paper and supplies.
Note the black gate die cut at bottom left. It would make a great "spooky" gate. The other side is white, so you could also use it for summer flowers page. Stop in to see what's new.
Lastly, don't forget the Cricut class on Friday and the Late Create time. We are open this Friday from 10am to 11pm. Just a note to let you know that any type of creating may be done at Late Create. You don't have to be a scrapbooker or card maker. Bring in your knitting, crochet, cross stitch work or quilting. Anything you want to work on, (that's legal), bring it in and enjoy the company.
Just call to let us know you want to join in, so we may plan.

Crafty Secrets M&T

Mary made this darling Halloween card using Crafty Secrets die cut page. The remainder of page is also pictured here. Look how many cards you could make from one sheet. Think of all the cute pages too.
You can make this card (until we run out of sheets.)
Cost is $3.00

Loralie Stamp-Chef

I was able to "play" a bit on Monday. We had a lovely group of women from the bank, who had the day off and booked the studio, so I got to play too.
This is one of the cards I did manage to complete. I just love those Loralie stamps. The sets are generally $18.00

Tuesday Take Away...

This week's M&T will be a Halloween card. I was trying to get a close up of the eye bling. But it is hard to see the sparkle on camera.
Cost will be $2.00

Loralie Stamps

We hung all the new Loralie stamps. Aren't they fun?! I'm working on a Chef image now. Maybe next week's M&T ?

We also received some pink items in time for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I have 3 of the Xyron sticker makers, but will have to get a 4th. one in pink.
Pretty....

Flourish Stamps

Here is another sample made with a stamp set from Flourishes, "Poppies".
I thought I had enough shades of red, until I started to color this in. I know several ladies who could have colored it better, but I keep trying.

Smartest stamp......

I have to show you the smartest stamp ever made. It is a ribbon stamp. What a great idea. You can make it any color and there are 4 types of "ribbon" to choose from. This is one of the cards we made using it. Great idea for stamp, right?!
