Some kids classes are starting soon..........check back next week for beading, paper crafts and cross stitch.
What craft would you like to learn? Let us know and we will try to find an instructor for it.

Back from COPIC certification...

Just back from Lexington, and getting certified today for COPIC Markers. Yeah !!
Which does not mean I am an expert by any means, but I do understand how to use them better than I did yesterday.
Colleen Schaan is such a wonderful instructor, and fun too. You feel like you have known her forever, she makes you feel so relaxed.
I also saw a lady (Lindsey ), who was at Stamping Around Ohio with me last week.
Small world for us "obsessed" stampers. So nice to meet and share with so many talented ladies.

Some projects from Stamping Around Ohio..

Samples of some of what we made in Ohio. Christina Fischer, Barbara Anders,Julie Masse, Tammy Hershberger and Maria Colosimo all had wonderful projects to do. I have put a link to their blogs too.

Things I won ...

I won these "goodies" at Stamping Around Ohio. The Tomato set from Kitchen Sink Stamps, was given to everyone, as it was part of the class by Maria. I have to admit I had only tried to use the Kitchen Sink Stamps once before, but I am hooked now.
Our first attempt (as a group of 3 at our table), was using some orange colors for tomatoes. We agreed we liked those the best, but wanted to try the red colors too. Look at the recipe card, my first tomato stamp!

Stamping Around Ohio...

Just got back from Stamping Around Ohio and have some cute things to show off in the studio.
Tammy Hershberger, who works and teaches at Toyrifix, was our hostess (and teacher), and the one who brought all the other talented ladies to her store.
Toyrifix is a cute scrapbooking store located within a toy store, in Smithville OH. Here is front of store. I will post photos of the cute things we made, as soon as possible.
Maria Colosimo, is Kitchen Sink Stamps and she explained her multi step stamps, which are very impressive. I came back with the one I have wanted for awhile now. Trees......lovely trees.
I also got to keep the tomato stamp we used for our "salsa stamping class". Now I have to learn how to make salsa, so I can give the label with it. Julie Masse, Christina Fischer, and Barbara Anders also had great projects and new items to show.
It was a wonderful, relaxing, motivating and did I mention fun as well! Lovely ladies to spend a couple of days with.
Let's hope I have convinced them to come to our area in Indiana. I may have to stalk them for awhile...ha

My "15 minutes of fame"...

Hello Crafters...
I am very happy to pass along an article about card making in today's paper. The lady who wrote it, (Lynda Heines), has a blog that she posted it on. It may be online by now, but I thought I would pass along her blog version.
Her editor was "sure my name was Dottie", so it seems like this version goes between both names. Oh well, part of being "famous" I guess.

New Summer Hours

Please note our new hours. With warmer weather everyone wants to be outdoors and so do we, (except on humid days).
We will be open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Our Late Create nights will still be until 11 pm, and advertised when we have them.
Speaking of which, we have one this Friday night and only have 1 space left ! Looks like another fun evening. Call to get that last spot! 490 4790

Saturday Stamping June 11th.

It is almost time for Saturday Stamping Group. Are you a stamper, or would you like to learn?
This Saturday is our once a month stamping day, dedicated to stampers. You can be a scrap booker or card maker and use stamps. Maybe you only do 3D items, but if you love to stamp-join us...so do we!
10 am to 4 pm for $3.00 a person. Anita is offering a M&T this week and it is lovely. She has several colors to choose from, and this is only one of her samples. The round image is like a collage (looks like quilting).
You may call to let us know you are coming (and we will make sure there is a kit for you to do).
Stay all day, or part of a day , and work on your current projects.
