Kids Class

We thought it wold be nice to post something from our Kids Class. This is a frame we made today, with a choice of flip flops or surf board. The flip flops were cute too, with some "bling" added. Yes, I used the bling word, much to my daughter's dismay. We in the paper world use "bling" all the time and are even distracted by it (right Kim).
I picked up the surf board, fence and flip flops at (shhhh) , JoAnn's.

Friday Fav's

Sorry for late posting...all the photos were put on a disc and I din't know how to download it from there. The little circle thingy keeps spinning and nothing shows up. (Sorry for such technical talk) wink, wink.
Today's Friday Fav is a birthday celebration page. Stop by Friday, (July 29th) and make the page with Kimmay until 2pm.
Oh to have my camera back..soon, very soon.

M&T

I CASED this card awhile ago, and I wish I still had the name to go along with it. I like to give credit where I can. I think it was taken from a SU site awhile ago.
The edge punch is a SU punch and I just matched some papers that went with the Dress Up buttons I had to use. Cuttlebug embossing folder was also used. It is fairly simple, except to get the dimensionals on the tiny strips, without being seen. Stop by this week and make it for $2.00

Our first boxes arrived today with some new items from CHA. 3D stickers, Heartfelt Creation stamp set and matching die cut, Unity "bitty stamps" are really cute too (and much cheaper than the larger sets). American Crafts "POW" glitter card stock in houndstooth design and mirror card stock for gorgeous frames. Of course the Spellbinders won't be in until September, and we are already having to put another pre-order in. So much of it was pre-orders...what shall we do to pass the time? Oh, let's have a sale to make room. What do you think?

Supplies we could keep

These are some of the supplies we were able to keep after the classes at CHA. Inks, stamps, die cuts and bling OH MY!
It was all so lovely. At times you feel as though you are in a museum, admiring all the beautiful art pieces. I even met a "celebrity" and an inspiration to me...Debbie Olson. OMG, I was sitting in the COPIC class and texting a friend (who I knew would understand the moment). I recognized her when I walked in and was like a stalker, peeking at her from time to time. Then came my opportunity..she asked if anyone needed any help. With a quick glance around the room, (to make sure no one really needed help), I called out her name. I never thought I would be tongued tied with a "celebrity", but it did happen. I gushed about wanting her autograph and how I mentioned her in my newspaper interview, as my inspiration. I'm sure she's used to nuts like me, but she was so nice and laid back. I even got a hug ...AHHHHH ! ( I am sorry Debbie, but I still had to shower after that, it was so hot there). So now I am desperately trying to find the autograph among the many things we brought back. Hmmm, I didn't check Mary's bag. wink, wink..
Off to work now, will talk later...

CHA goodies..

As you can imagine, CHA was exciting and inspirational. We were surprised with all the nice items we could keep after a workshop, (sharing with the person beside you.) It was well worth the time spent in line with others on "the wait list", in room 6 . So many nice ladies to share your creativity with.
These are a mish mash of some of our class projects.
From decorated cute tubes, to the artistic treasures from LaBlanche they were all very enjoyable.

Friday Fav's (posting early) for July 22nd.

Kimmay's Friday Fav's continue this month, with Christmas in July. I am posting earlier, since we are off to CHA...wheeeee !!! OK, containment.
Here is her delightful page and you can stop by from 10 am to 2 pm on Friday to do one with her.
If you missed last week's Thanksgiving page, there are some still available to buy. You can complete it at the studio or take along to do at home.
Speaking of Christmas in July..Kimmay's Christmas album on July 23rd. has one space left in the class. Call to register. 490 4790

We will remain open at our regular hours (Wed. through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm). But don't forget our Late Create is also on the 22nd. 6 to 11 pm for $5.00, which includes your dinner. You can't even eat out for that. Some of the hubbies stopping by were wondering if they could pay the $5.00 and just eat. Hmmm, maybe a M&T provided by a man would be interesting to do. Any takers gentleman?

Happy Crafting, while we are away looking at all the exciting new things!

Melodie's cute card

Melodie was in today and made the cutest card. I just had to share it. She cut out the entire image and layered both on the Spellbinder matting. I had to tease her about "wanting to put a mouth on the little girl". (No, I still don't get the "no mouth thing"with the stamps)...but what a cute card. She used COPICs for coloring and it really pops the images.
Thanks for sharing Melodie!
