This week's M&T was compiled from a ribbon I found at JoAnn's. I loved the color and then found a sheer fabric with bling in it. Had to get that too (have no idea what I will use it for).
The paper is Melissa Frances and My Mind's Eye, along with background Coredination from Tim Holtz collection. The image & greeting are Flourishes stamps. Pearls are from Peebles, and the flourish die cut is MFT.

Melody's album for her Mother

Melody (Poff) choose this Bo Bunny album & pieces pack to make this lovely album in her Mother's memory. Isn't it beautiful?!
If you took photos from Mother's Day, this is a perfect album to keep those memories in. You can view it in the studio this week. We have a couple of albums to share. Drop by and take a look.

May Flourishes in

Just in time for Father's Day, a stamp set for him. These darling silhouettes of dad with children are a perfect card or page for dad. Then get ready for some flowers with the Hydrangea set, and sunning on the porch with lemonade and comfy chair set.

Designer Corner- Kimmay

Kimmay has made a very colorful album for Spring, using My Little Yellow Bicycle's "Hello Spring" series. Her album is the canvas covered 6x6 chipboard, with the 6x6 paper pad, as well as chipboard pieces. What a nice idea to highlight your flowers from Spring, that bloom around your home.

Stampavie

The Stampavie order has finally arrived. Here are some of the stamps we received (from our last US based order). Stampavie has closed it's US headquarters, so we will deal with distributors now (since they are located in France). We can still get Stampavie, but I doubt whether the site will reflect which stamps we have in stock, as they have in the past. So you will have to call to find out what we have.
They are cute and will go quickly I'm sure.

Happy Mother's Day

Howdy Friend, was Joy Bate's other card yesterday (for the 2 card class with My Favorite Things stamps.) Although I failed at both coloring and cutting yesterday, I so enjoyed playing with the group of ladies in the class.
(I think the paper piecing is too small for my clumsy hands). Joy's card design is so cute. I hope she does it again.
Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Enjoy and do something you love.

M&T Week of May 8th.

A little late start this week getting a post in, but kits were ready yesterday for this easy card. I used some new paper from Little Yellow Bicycle - Sunshine for the main focal point. The button punch is a Martha Stewart and the flourish & doily die cuts are My Favorite Things. The greeting is from Flourishes-Tag Lines , a set I go to all the time. The twine I purchased on a trip to Ohio, and I forgot to look for the company, but I have lots of it to last.

Designer Corner- Anita Vowell

I love it when I get nice cards brought by the studio. It's like a gift each time.
Anita used some strips of a 6x6 paper pack of the Miss Caroline series (Howdy Dowdy), to make the pieced card. You could also use up some of your scrap pieces of paper.

Her other 2 cards were made with the Fancy A Cuppa stamp set from Hot Off The Press. A simple yet elegant card.

The class is $18.00, and will begin 6:00PM. Call to register. 490 4790

Designer Corner- Joy Bates

Joy has designed a lovely, and oh so cute, card using a special fold she saw online. The image is My Favorite Things - Dress Up Diva and the paper is My Mind's Eye- Miss Caroline series. She colored with COPIC markers, added some white Flower Soft to the boa, and some pearls from Prima for the necklace. The green card stock is from Tim Holtz Coredination series and cut with a Spellbinder.
It is adorable. The card is a square fold, and the image piece is where you tuck the top piece behind. I wanted to get a close up of the image, so you could see her boa and pearls.
We are trying to get her to teach this in a class, so keep posted. Let her know how much you enjoy it by making  a comment.

Just a Glimpse

Kimmay did the first (of 2 different classes) today, that is a memory of your life. Each person has questions to think about and get photos to describe that part of their life. Then we put each page together, and can journal the facing page, to tell the story of "you". The class is called Just A Glimpse and is $25.00, which includes an 8x8 cloth album from American Crafts. A list of questions for each registrant to think about goes out before the class (like "I believe", or  "I went"), so you can collect your photos and favorite things.
The class will be repeated on Sunday, June3rd. at 2:00pm. Only a few spots left, so call to register.
Here is a glimpse of some of the pages and the ladies working on their books.

M&T week of May1st.

For this week's M&T I decided to do a Mother's Day card. I wanted to use lace, but had no idea where I wear going with the brown. We had leftover pieces of Paper Loft's "Gentler Times" series from the Autism Crop kits, and I do hate to waste. I came up with this. The lace stamp is Our Daily Bread, a background stamp, and one I can use on my Mega Mount from Impression Obsession. There is Bazzil Tawny Light card stock and a Spellbinder die cut for greeting, which is a Stampin' Up! set. The 2 sizes of leafy die cuts are from My Favorite Things. Pearls are from ZVA. Stop by this week and make it. You can change the greeting if you like.

Autism Crop

The 5th. Annual Autism Awareness, Crop-Paper-Scissors was held Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital. Doing one of the M&Ts are Starla, Rita & Sherry . I see Melody, Jan & Melanie, Norma, Anita & Kelly, Kendra & Lisa (when I look through my looking glass-for those of you old enough to remember that one), in the background as well.  Another great day of cropping, with lots of wonderful people. Thank you to all who came and all who helped! Special thank you to Shyler's Bar-B-Que for the wonderful meal they always put on for us.

Designer Corner-Melody Poff

A second card Melody did was using the Screen Door die cut from Poppystamps. All their die cuts are a really nice touch to any project. The wreath image is a Flourishes stamp, Wreath For All Seasons, and again colored with COPIC markers. Melody has a real eye for the coloring and she agrees it just takes practice to get better at it. The paper is from My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline series, which is one of my favorites. A Sakura Glaze pen finishes the wreath, to make it "pop".

Designer Corner- Melody Poff

Melody has created a lovely Mother's Day card using her favorite paper from Prima - SunKiss. The stamp is from Flourishes, Spring Bouquet and colored with COPICs. There is a touch of Golden Star Gelly Roll pen in the center of each flower. The Stardust Gelly Rolls are my favorite.
The Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Vintage Photo from Ranger, was used for the greeting and the image was stamped with Memento Ink.  Melissa Frances pearls and a M Stewart punch completed the look.
