Dolly & Mary

M&T March 1st. week

This is the M&T for this week. From tomorrow until Friday evening, you can come in and make this card for $3.00 (If you make 2, it's $5.00 for both).
Some people don't celebrate much for St. Patty's Day, but if you love cards it's another reason to send one. Go green !!!
The faux ribbon stamp, from Stampendous, arrives tomorrow with all the other goodies to take to Crop for Cure. We sell out of these stamps every time we order them in. Yes the ribbon is a stamped image. This time I roughed the edges a bit more, to make it look even more realistic.
This stamps is for everyone who does not like to tie bows, and for those who like a rest from it too. Very smart stamp..wish I had thought of it!
Jillibean paper was also used, and a M. S. clover punch.

Repeat of Black Lace class on March 19th.

The Black Lace Card Class filled up quickly and several ladies have asked me to repeat it. So, we looked at March and decided on Saturday the 19th. at 1:00 pm. Cost is $17.00 and we limit the class size, so register early.
Here are the cards again.
A Kaisercraft stamp set, "Tea With Elsie", is used. They are currently on backorder, but we have 8 more reserved for us.

Crop For Cure March 5th.

The Crop For Cure event is coming up again. We have gotten in lots of fun things for that, and some we have already sold-so we need to place another order before that date. The Loralie stamps are going like mad, with her new designs for stampers and scrappers specifically.
With their lowered prices, it's a steel.
If you have been into MTTC lately, you may have noticed my mess (and the AccuCut hidden under wraps), while we prepare for the Crop for Cure again.
We will be offering these kits as class. I wish there were enough time to make one for everyone, but alas we need to sleep and eat too. So, get ready for first thing Saturday am to register to take the class at Crop For Cure. (If any are left, we will sell at MTTC after that).
Here is a sneak peek of both, with photos in them.
Hope to see you there soon.

M&T week of Feb. 22nd.

This week's M&T is a simple design that I borrowed. (As soon as I find my paper again, I can give that person credit.)
Cost is $2.00
Meanwhile, I actually have the M&T ready to post, so wanted to get it up now. We have more classes to post, so I figured I could get them out by Tuesday and find the sheet by then.
As always the photo is a bit darker than the actual color. The green looking background is actually a very light shade. Everyone who comes in to do the M&Ts always comment , "that is much nicer in person". I am hoping to get lights to help with photo shooting. I am hoping for lots of things, but lottery is unobtainable too!

We also finished a long exciting day at Crop for the Cure, at the 4H Center last night. I am still looking for my camera, so we can share those photos too.
Now it's on to the St. John's Ladies Night Out, today.

Enjoy this lovely weather.

M&T for week of Feb. 14th.

Ever had "designer block"? Sometimes you have to scratch what you are designing and go with something else. I wanted to use a certain paper, but it wasn't working out, so today I put it away and started fresh.
I do remember my inspiration came from Melissa Cash's card, (from a Gina K gallery). Since we can't sell Gina K, (darn it all), I used the layout she had and got out a Flourishes stamp. Flourishes are one of my favs anyway and of course I like to color.
A Wreath for All Seasons was used and colored with COPICs. I am getting a little better too.
Psst...(We have COPIC class coming up in March). I also used the Scor Buddy and Liquid Pearls in all 3 colors.
When I finished the yellow card, I thought of all the spring colored ribbon stash I am hoarding- oh, holding I mean....So I decided to do 2 more colors. You can make just one color or make all three this week. Cost is $3.00 and they will be available until Friday night to make. (Remember we are closed on Saturday).

Loralie Stamps by Janie

On Saturday Janie brought in these adorable cards made with Loralie stamps. See how she put different things in the teacher's hand? Very fun these cards are. The other one was made by Lee made (and I copied it too.)

Some people don't like all the coloring, but it is relaxing to me. Just like in Kindergarten.

St. John's Ladies Night Out

3 lovely ladies and myself made these pretty favors for the attendees of the Ladies Night Out. Reminds me of spring and what a gorgeous day to get in the mood for that.
Hope to see some of you there on Sunday.

M&T for week of Feb. 8th.

I am very pleased with the card this week. I was still obsessed about Cheri T.'s card (she made at the Scrappin' For Life on Saturday.) It was absolutely gorgeous, and I forgot to get a photo of it.
Since we don't have enough time to get a class booked with her, maybe we'll get her in for Mother's Day or a June wedding card.......It was so soft and pretty, pink.
Anyway, so I wanted to make something very pretty too for Valentine's Day and this is what I came up with.
Cost is $3.00 .
This Coredinations card stock is brown on one side and pink on the other. When you emboss it, then sand it down, some of the pink comes through.
The punch is a Martha edge punch, mini flower by Zva, pearls from Kaisercraft, die cut from Sizzix and the stamp is from Flourishes. The heart is actually kraft color, so I really need to get my lights bought, so I can have a set up like Deb Olsen. (What a name dropper eh?)
(We do have a few of these die cuts available in retail and at least one punch.)
Let's have some fun...the first one in to make this card ( that has read this blog ) can ask me for one of the die cuts and I'll give you one!

Coming up soon...

Needle Felting is coming up. Here is a heart I learned how to make, (in less than 5 minutes).
Watch for blog photos next week, or come into the studio to see some samples now.
If you have never done this, (like me before now), it is a pretty cool craft. Patti is willing to take kids from 13 years and up in the class, when accompanied by adult.*Please note that a sharp needle is used in this craft. Call to register.

Black Magic Card Class- Feb. 11th.

We have a Black Magic card class with Sue, on Friday, Feb. 11th.
It is 10: 00 am, and the cost is $15.00
Isn't it cool to see colors pop up on a black background? Come see how to do this and make 3 beautiful cards. (Sample of one.) There are several other samples in the studio, so stop by and check them all out.

Silhouette Stamping Class-Feb. 12th.

These are the cards we will be making on Saturday, Feb. 12th. at 1:00 pm Bertha will show us some silhouettes stamping, using different media, including acrylic and paint.
Try a new technique.... Call to register. 490 4790

Saturday is also Stamping Day, if you want to join in some stamping time. 10 am to 4 pm for $3.00 (which does not include the above class).
Bring your own supplies and share some stamping.

Mom's card...

My mother's birthday is on Valentine's Day, so Rebecca's Iris Folding class was perfect for me. It's so much fun to work from the back, then take off the pattern and be surprised at how it turned out. Here is mine,( with added pearls.)
All ready to send out.....Thanks Rebecca!

Make & Take for week of Feb. 1st.

This is this week's M&T. You may come in any day, all this week, to make this card for $2.00
It is a fairly simple card, so any beginner could also do it easily.

Don't forget our class this week. Iris Folding with Rebecca.
The cards are shown below. We have some space left, so give us a call to register.

Also, we are starting a new Monthly Club for studio use. For $20. a month, you may come in any Tuesday and Thursday and work all day, (10 am to 4 pm), on your own projects. You have use of all our tools, as always, and may bring a lunch or go out as you like. We are limiting this Club to 20 members, to make room allowance for each one. So call now if you are interested.
*Please note this is not a private lesson time from us, but time for you to work on your own projects. You would bring your own supplies in, just like you would for an all day crop. Then use our tools, etc. as you need them.
The M&T, or any classes during those time, would be a separate fee.
Crafts other than scrap booking and card making are fine to do here too, ( as long as there are no fumes or chemicals that may hurt others). If you have questions, please call first to ask about your crafting.
It's just always more fun with other people.
