Do you need a last minute gift idea? Anita has made a candle with paper (remove before burning), which is a lovely homemade gift. Matching cards and candle are all made with Simple Stories "Generations" series. The paper is Title Strip Elements, which is usually for scrap booking titles, but look how much you can do with it. We hope you are enjoying your Holiday time!

Designer's Corner-Melody Poff

We have some very talented ladies whom we have asked to design some lovely cards, pages and 3D items. For this week, I will try to post something every couple of days. So check back often to look at what your friends have designed.
We will start with a fall page Melody Poff made, then move on to Christmas. Her fall page is with her beloved dogs, using Bella Blvd paper "Just Leafy". Then for Christmas, using "Lost & Found" -Santa Paper, is her older looking oval photo layout. She used extra glitter on the belt and around some edges to pop it even more. Finally her Snowflake page using My Little Yellow Bicycle "Winter Plaid". (The flip side has a blue plaid). The matting is also MLYB die cuts.

We also have Snow Writer in 2 styles. One is plain snow and the other has glitter in it. These are easy to use, just squirt it out like glue and let dry. Here is a sample card I made using the plain. The cocoa cup & greeting stamps are Impression Obsession and back ground stamp is Hero Arts. I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints for colors on background.

We had a few orders come in with some fun things.

M&T Week of Dec. 7th.

This extra M&T will be available until kits are gone, then a new one put out. (This one is besides the 4 cards you can make anytime we are open this month.)
We wanted to use some non traditional colors and this paper is actually not even a Christmas paper. It is a Stella & Rose paper from My Mind's Eye. (Who doesn't love Stella & Rose?!)
The embossing folder is an older Cuttlebug design, which I sanded a bit to pop the design. The greeting, ribbon, card stock and punches are from Stampin' UP!

Don't forget this Friday is LAte Create and this Saturday is Stamping. We have 2 classes going on that day. One is a Snowman card class and then Rebecca is back with Iris Folding with Photos at 1pm. Call to register.

Accordion Fold Tag Christmas

Wed. Nov. 30th. at 10 am and again at 6pm. Cost is $15.00

Snowman Cards Class

This snowman couple is from Stampavie and although it is not a new one, it is still adorable.
I wanted to show how to use it in several different ways, using same stamped image. The first card is made with Frozen Tozen paper, from TaDa. The second one in plaid is from Pink Paislee, called Snowday. (It does have snowmen on the other side). The third card, in shades of blue, is a stamped & embossed card front, using Hero Arts background stamp, Dot Flower. Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Stain Dabbers and Shimmer Spritz to make the colors of blue. (It was a technique I learned at CHA). The 4th card in pink was done with the Tim Holtz Distress Coredinations card stock and embossed with a folder, then sanded. Of course I used a variety of Spellbinders on each card, some Stampin' Up! and Mark's Finest Papers card stock. All of the images were colored with COPICs.
This 4 card class is on Saturday, Dec. 10th. at 10am . Cost is $17.00

Tags from one sheet

I have been making some tags (which could be added to cards or page), from a 12x12 paper called "Cards", by Paper Company. I took this photo with the paper in background. So far I have made 13 tags and there are many more pieces left to do. It did take about an hour to hand cut the sheet apart, since it was not in even strips to cut. They look vintage and are very traditional designs. The 12x12 sheet of paper is only .69 cents. You can't go wrong with that one.
Using different Spellbinders, I cut lots of the same general sizes of backgrounds. Then I added some gold leafing pen, chalk ink, stamped images or pearls and they each looked very different.
I hope Beverly Simmons and her extended family enjoy the "kits" I made, for them to be creative this Thanksgiving. What a nice family tradition...to make something.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and remember to

M&T week of October 25th.

We have some leftover kits from the M&T from Crop for Compassion last Saturday. It is a Fall card using some of our new Tim Holtz Kraft Core card stock. They are absolutely beautiful colors. The stamp is a leaf background stamp from Impression Obsession. The ribbon is from Mark's Finest Paper. The greeting is from a new Flourishes set and the faux stitching is a Hero Arts stamp. I love the sewing lines.
The Kraft Core I embossed with a Tim Holtz folder and then sanded a bit to bring the color up more. Isn't it gorgeous the way it looks embossed? Can't wait to try them all.
Which reminds me, is there a color you need of Distress or Adirondak ink? Come see what we have. If we don't have your color, we can order it.

Tim Holtz Distress card stock & CANDI

We just got the entire line of Tim Holtz Distress card stock in.
Plus the Kraft Core and all the colors that match the Adirondak inks!
We are up to our eyeballs in 12x12 card stock now!
Look at the gorgeous colors!!! I think this calls for a sale, as soon as we get it put away.
We also have some CANDI from the UK. Hoping to get more before we start all the Christmas projects too.

M&T week of October 18th.

I "CASED" this week's M&T from Tammy Hershberger. She has some of the most gorgeous and well put together cards out there. (She is also a very nice lady too. )
My card looks different, but I can see the resemblance and how it "came to be". The stamp set is the same, from Flourishes. I also used the same embossing folder , but changed the colors around. If you want to see her card, go to the side bar on the right. She is in my list of the blogs I follow, called Stamp Happy. Her photograph is much nicer too. Lessons please....
Come in this week (until Friday when Late Create starts), to make this.
Cost is $3.00

Cool bag from Sears..

Lee discovered this cool pink bag from Sears, and was so excited about it, that we drove there to see if any were left. I have mine loaded already and here it is. It is supposed to be for tools, and that is what we all have ladies...tools of all kinds. What a nice prize they would make, so I'm getting some for the Autism Crop next year. They would make nice prizes at Crop for Cure too! Yeah...I may go nuts and get one for the Leavenworth Inn get away too. There are other colors, but the pink stands out. Thanks Lee !

New items just in...

We have some new Impression Obsession stamps and the Mega Mount Blocks are back in. The nice thing about these big blocks, are that you can use them with other larger stamps. I have used Stampin' Up! & Flourishes background stamps, and Loralie's as well.
There are 6 new background stamps in to use with the Mega Mount, so come check them out before they are all gone again.
Also in, are the Hero Arts & Sizzix combo of stamp set and matching die cuts made especially for them. Here are 2. The Snowman set I will use in my tags class in November.

M&T week of October 12th.

I never get tired of the Stella & Rose paper from My mind's Eye. Our M&T was made using another paper from this series. The daisy image is a Flourishes stamp set, colored with COPICs, and the faux sewing lines are a Hero Arts stamp. Sewing continues to be very popular, but I have yet to break out my machine. That's why these stamps come in handy in a pinch. The clear buttons are still my Bag O' Buttons, which I have used forever. I just punched a piece to lay beneath the button and that way you make it any color you want. Cost is $3.00 and this kit will be available until our Late Create night, when we need to make room for our crafters and artists.

Coloring Hair With COPIC Markers

Have you been using COPIC Markers and wondered the best colors to use on hair? Helen has made a great booklet of possibilities. She has made several stamped images to use, with variety of hair lines to color. We will be using some digital prints and stamped images from Loralie Designs & Stampavie, plus more. The biggest part of the class will be coloring hair, but you will be able to make a complete card at the end of class. Here are a few of the stamped images and the card to be completed in class. The class is Tuesday, October 11th. at 6 pm and the cost is $15.00, which includes a booklet to refer back to for color choices.

Saturday Stamping October 8th.

Our Late Create was a good time, as always, shared with many talented and wonderful women. Here are some of the samples they were working on. Our next Late Create is this Friday...yes three in one month. Can you say "so many toys, so little time"? This month we are "making some time to create".

Don't forget today is Saturday Stamping Day, all day. We hope to see you today too.

Ink refills....

Are you looking for an ink refill? It's really frustrating to buy an ink pad and not have the refill available. If you are looking for an Adirondak ink refill or the Tim Holtz Distress inks, stop by. We just might have the color you need. Although we don't have all the refills, we do carry the refills for all the colors we have had, or do carry now.
Even if you don't have the ink pad, you can use the refills for coloring and other fun projects too.
